East Side Resurrection Bay Trip Descriptions
KAYAKERS COVE FULL DAY

We load up and head south on the water on a water taxi going south on Resurrection Bay for approx. 11 miles. After being dropped off at Kayaker's Cove you and your guide will paddle exploring the rugged coastline searching for sea lions, harbor seals, eagles, bears, goats, eagles, Orcas, and various other sea life. Lunch / Hydration / Snacks will be provided while taking a break on a beach in Humpy Cove. After lunch we paddle to the water fall and look for bears feeding on salmon, check out the waterfall, abandoned gold mine shafts along the shore and head back to the pickup beach for your pickup by water taxi.

Fox Island is a large island south of Seward on Resurrection Bay near Kayakers Cove. This Island has been a interesting location over the years because of the history of the island. Rockwell Kent
famous artist, once lived for a time on this remote island. The island was once a fox farm for the raising of foxes for the fur trade that once flourished here in Alaska. It is the sight of a ship wreck near the sandspit. The sand spit point area is a great camping and a semi protected area

Depart by water taxi to Kayakers Cove. After gearing up and doing a little stretch to loosen up our bodies
before paddleling.
We see whales sometimes in this cove and sometimes observe more that one type. We paddle past
bird rookeries and Stellar Sea Lions. .You will then paddle south along the cost observing sometimes the
white mountain goats.
Hiking is a nice option that is sometimes chosen by our guests, hiking up the trail that originates at the rear of the hostel lodge we will hike up a fern and moss laden trail up to a rocky saddle that overlooks the cape. This trail is a moderate hike and we recommend that anyone hiking the trail carry hydration.

The cabins are located in a secluded part of Humpy Cove with a unmatched view of the Bay and Islands.
This is pretty sweet for remote lodging. Some of the Fishing Charters will pick you up at the dock on Orca Island if prior arrangements are made with your charter company.
Guide, Kayaks, gear, food, and water taxi round trip will be included by Adventure Sixty North LLC to our guests for their use while staying on the Island.
Cabin has queen bed, futon couch, table and chairs, propane heater, hot water, Shower, Composting toilet, water, and kitchen
utensils. Tastefully decorated and the amenities are unmatched in remote Resurrection Bay!
Can handle up to 4 persons each yurt. Entire Island is available for larger groups, with advance reservations! Reserve Early for best dates!

We feel that Kayakers Cove is one of the coolest wilderness hostels that you will ever find. Adventure Sixty North LLC will provide the guides, kayaks, gear, and food. This is a wilderness hostel and we will share the sleeping area, kitchen and living area with Kayakers Cove guests. They typically come from all over the world and the lower 48 and provide a unique environment to meet new adventure friends.
Our guide will prepare the meals, provide guiding services, and provide his or her interpretation of this area. The hike from Kayakers Cove is a hike that begins from the back door of the lodge and proceeds up the mountain behind the lodge and ends up in saddle overlooking the Bay.
