Fox island is one of the best beach combing beaches in the Resurrection Bay.  We paddle around the cape and Island looking for whales, Orcas, sea lions, seals, bears and eagles and enjoy the breathtaking scenery.
Take a water taxi ride to a beautiful island on the Little Gem with Capt. Matt Cline and enjoy his special interpretation of the Bay. .  Keep an eye out for feeding whales.  Spend some time paddling next to large cliffs and exploring rocky beaches. Lunch and snacks are provided during one of the beach landings on this absolutely beautiful paddle.
Paddlers should be prepared to paddle most of the day!
This is one of our more adventurous paddles and we recommend it to our active visitors. This paddle is dependent on the weather occurring on  the bay!

Kayakers Cove / Fox Island full day paddle

Resurrection Bay is one of  the most ideal paddle destinations in Alaska. The water taxi ride, and kayak adventure is simply one of the best ways to experience this special area of Alaska.
Enjoy your shuttle out to Fox Island with Capt. Matt Cline and his boat the Little Gem. We pick you up at your hotel, B&B, or campsite in Seward,  meet the boat and head to Humpy Cove where you will  view wildlife and the scenic rugged coast while traveling to the wilderness hostel to begin your kayaking trip. Our sea kayaks & guides are there and waiting for you to paddle and enjoy what Resurrection Bay has to offer. Wildlife in the area includes: eagles, Puffins, bears, mountain goats, salmon, Orcas, sea lions, harbor seals and otters.  This paddle is  a must do for the paddler who doesn't want to paddle with 12-18 other folks at a time. We purposely keep our groups small (6 or less) to enhance your kayaking experience in a pristine and relaxed environment. We use stable double kayaks for your comfort and safety.

Tide water glacier viewing is among one of the biggest reasons that we see kayakers from other parts of our globe. This active glacier
is retreating at a alarmingly rapid rate as are other glaciers in this part of the world. It is home to ruggedly beautiful and raw snow capped mountains and ice fields. The weather conditions in remote glacier areas is often quite unpredictable because of the ice fields create their own weather patterns and conditions.
This trip involves a landing craft water taxi transporting our kayakers and guides approximately forty three miles by water.
Breakfast muffins, bagels, juice, and water are provided on the transport, and lunch including snacks will be provided while kayaking out in the Fjord.
