MEET THE OWNER / ADVENTURE SIXTY NORTH

Seward, Alaska

What it means to choose Adventure Sixty North

A letter from the owner

To our visitors deciding on a guiding company for their Alaskan adventures:

There are several kayaking and hiking companies in town and we all say we are different because of the skill and training of the guides. The truth is that pretty much all of us have similarly trained and experienced guides. Most of our guides have degrees in outdoor education, several with dual degrees, and outdoor adventure instructors. They are all Outdoor Professionals that share a zest for life and yearn to share their knowledge and enthusiasm with our clients.

We started at humble beginnings and continue to be the smallest guiding company in town and want to keep it that way. We hire and train our guides aiming to offer our clients to experience a trip as intimate as possible. We keep our guide roster to 8 or 9 guides a season so that we can keep management hands-on and ensure that clients are receiving the experience that we envision.  All of our adventures are no more than 6 people per guide not only for safety’s sake, but to maintain the quality of experience as well.

In summary, the Seward guiding community is a close-knit group. We all work hard every day and get together for fellowship whenever we can. Seward can only grow and prosper when all businesses work as a team. We will happily refer you to one of our friends if we don’t have availability or if it isn’t a service we provide.

Thank you for taking time to read what makes Adventure Sixty North special! We hope to see you on one of our adventures in here, in beautiful Seward, Alaska!

Sincerely,

Rick Brown Owner/Guide
