This trip is a great option for those adventurers with limited time. It is also a normally flat water trip, making it a great choice for families with small children or those looking for a relaxing paddle, away from seas and open water.
Bear Lake is located just outside Seward, Alaska and it is about 4 minutes from our front door. We love Bear Lake because of the normally flat calm waters we find when while kayaking there. This is a great option for a family with young or the big kids that do not want the challenge of kayaking in the ocean.
Kayak or canoe on this scenic local lake with our fun loving guides! Bear Lake is also home to Sockeye Salmon and we stop on the way to visit the salmon weir and learn about their life cycle. Often we also see eagles, loons, bears, and always great scenery!
