Kayak to Tonsina Point in Resurrection Bay in Seward!

Resurrection Bay is surrounded by snow-capped mountains and home to several Seward, Alaska state parks that offer abundant opportunities to hike, sea kayak and explore! We specialize in small group tours with no more than six people per guide. This adventure is great for first time paddlers, families, groups, or adventurers with limited time to experience the wonders of Resurrection Bay in Seward, Alaska. These trips are offered morning and late afternoon. Check out our Bear Lake trip for kids younger than eight years old!

This trip departs from Lowell Point on the south end of Seward. We follow the remarkable western coastline of Resurrection Bay to Tonsina Creek. As we kayak, we are looking for sea ducks, diving birds, eagles, porpoise, harbor seals and sea lions. Depending on the time of the salmon run, you may also see salmon fighting their way upstream at Tonsina Creek! Stretch your legs, explore the Ghost Tree Forest, skip rocks, and enjoy the pristine surroundings at Tonsina Point. After exploring the beach, having a snack and hydrating, we kayak along the coastline and return to Lowell Point.
