The perfect half-day combo: a hike to the Exit Glacier overlook and an Alaskan gold panning experience!
Our Exit Glacier nature hike and gold panning combo offers a wonderful opportunity to see a glacier up close without setting foot on the ice and experience a piece of Alaskan history through gold panning.
We will hike with you, sharing insights about the glacier and local interpretive information as we make our way to the Exit Glacier overlook. Following the hike, the gold panning demonstration will take place at our Clear Creek panning site on our property. Our site features rustic water troughs and a tarp-covered log structure, providing shelter from the elements.
You get to keep everything you find! We provide the pans, local information, historical and geological insights, instruction, humor, glass vials for your gold specimens, and a container for your semi-precious stones, including garnets, fluorite, quartz, red jasper, and many others.
