Just a note!  Some of our Guides are returning or have expressed interest in returning for the 2025 season, but we will need a few additional talented and skilled people as well. We are taking applications to fill vacancies where they may exist and to plan for an expanded operation. The positions available are seasonal only, starting in spring 2025 with various start dates depending on the position of hire. Point of hire for all employees is Seward, Alaska.

Adventure Sixty North LLC operates in the State of Alaska as a limited liability corporation and is licensed by the State of Alaska as an Alaskan Business operating out of Seward, Alaska in the Kenai Fjords National Park, Alaska State Parks, and Alaska State Department of Natural Resources by required permits.

Adventure Sixty North LLC provides guided sea kayaking, hiking, fishing, gold panning as well as outfitting services such as kayak, fishing and gear rentals. Our adventures include half-day, full-day, and multi-day trips. Our tours sometimes require our employees to travel by water taxi, van, and helicopter to/from destinations.

Our season is year round, although our seasonal employees season is April 28th thru May 12th for training, and thru Sept 18th for working (guides and employees).

  • At Adventure Sixty North, we are known as the “Cowboys” of the touring companies. Mainly because we don’t quite run our company like anyone else here. However, that title was intended, we wear it with pride! Rick Brown (Owner) who has been in Seward since 2003 and running A60N since 2007, has been carving his own path through the seasons. But, how does that make us different? Well, to be honest you just have to experience it. Rick loves to make everyone here feel like family and you definitely feel it! For a couple examples, we are responsible for the biggest parties thrown in Seward for our crew and the local companies, called “Tarp-Mahal”. A music band you will learn to love called “Blackwater Railroad Co” comes and puts on a private concert. Just ask any of the other companies about it.Ever wanted to live on a bus? Well, you just might be one of the lucky ones that gets to have it as housing! All the buildings on our property were built by Rick Brown himself. We also have a salmon stream that runs right through our backyard and a Big Ole fire pit for plenty of unforgettable nights. Group cookouts and dinner outings, we hold a very carefree attitude here at A60N.Even though we have that carefree attitude on property, we expect nothing but the best from our guides! No matter your prior guiding experience, we will put you through our start of season training program where you will learn all you need to know about the area and trips you will be doing and expectations. You will even learn what “Cincinnati Chili” is! You will need an up-to-date WFR certification, and you will be getting an ACA Level 2 Certificate during your training with us.We offer a variety of trips to break up the routine. You’ll be a Guide for hiking, kayaking and sometimes gold panning! You’ll have a logistics day where you drive the vans for the trips for the day.

  • Backcountry Guides (Sea Kayaking, Hiking, Gold Panning) – Training star date April 28th, 2025 thru May 12th, 2025 / Working season thru Sept 18th, 2025. Enthusiastic people to work and guide professional tours in the Kenai Fjord National Park. Experience preferred plus a current WFR medical certificate. Willingness to learn local interpretive information and to pass it on to our guests. We recommend that guides get here a few days early to settle in.
  • Office/Reservation Staff – Training start date April 15th, 2025 / Working season thru Sept 18th, 2025. Enthusiastic nature loving people with great communication skills, multitasking abilities, customer service, reservations, experience in computer programs like Excel and Word and willingness to learn the local area. Training includes that you experience the tours we offer to be more capable to explain them to our guests.
