Employment Opportunities Season 2025
Employment Opportunities 2025!
Here at Adventure Sixty North, we’ve proudly earned the nickname “Cowboys” among the touring companies. This is all thanks to Rick Brown, our owner, who has been charting his own course in Seward since 2003 and leading A60N since 2007. We’re proud to do things a little differently under his leadership.
What makes us different? You really need to experience it for yourself to fully appreciate it, but here’s a taste: Rick fosters a family atmosphere. For example, at the beginning and at the end of the season, we host the biggest parties in Seward for our crew and local companies, known as “Tarp-Mahal,” featuring a private concert by the band “Blackwater Railroad Co.”
Have you ever dreamed of living on a bus? You may be one of the lucky ones! All of the unique housing options were personally built by Rick Brown. Our property also features a salmon stream and a large fire pit, perfect for unforgettable evenings. At Adventure Sixty North, we hold a carefree environment with group cookouts and dinner outings. You might even discover “Cincinnati Chili!”
While we maintain a relaxed atmosphere on our property, we expect excellence from our guides. Regardless of your previous guiding experience, you’ll participate in our start-of-season training program. You’ll learn about the area, the trips you’ll lead, and our expectations. A current WFR certification is required, and you’ll earn an ACA Level 2 Certificate during your training. To keep things interesting, we offer diverse trips that include hiking, kayaking, and occasionally gold panning tours, as well as logistics day driving vans.
- Backcountry Guides (Sea Kayaking, Hiking, Gold Panning) – Enthusiastic people to lead and guide professional tours in Kenai Fjord National Park. Experience is preferred plus a current Wilderness First Responder (WFR) medical certification is required. Successful applicants should be willing to learn and share local interpretive information with our guests. We recommend that guides arrive a few days early to settle in.
- Office/Reservation Staff – Enthusiastic, nature-loving individuals with excellent communication and multitasking skills, and a strong background in customer service and reservations. Proficiency in computer programs such as Excel and Word is essential, as is a willingness to learn about the local area. As part of your training, you’ll have the opportunity to experience our tours firsthand, which will enable you to describe them more knowledgeably and passionately to our guests.
