Resurrection Bay is surrounded by towering snow-capped mountains and beautiful turquoise glacial water that is full of thriving marine life offering abundant opportunities for wildlife sightings. The bay is protected by three islands at the south end of the bay, from heavy winds to allow better kayaking conditions. Add all of this together and you have a Sea Kayakers Dream!
We offer three main 1/2 Day – Full Day trips into Resurrection Bay: Tonsina Point, Bridal Veil Falls and Caines Head (on request). All of these are a great way to experience what Resurrection Bay has to offer. We also specialize in Overnight/Multi-Day trips into the bay that allow you to fully explore Resurrection Bay!
All of our trips run rain or shine. The only time we will cancel a trip is due to high winds in the bay making the kayaking conditions dangerous.
What about that Wildlife you were talking about? I’m glad you asked! In early May we sometimes get sightings of humpback whales, fin or killer whales that will typically leave by the end of May, but we still have plenty of up-close sightings of bald eagles, harbor seals, sea otters, stellar sea lions, harbor porpoise and lots of sea birds! Also, we get salmon runs all summer, but sightings on our side of the bay are more prominent towards August and September.
We Offer Half-Day, Full-Day, and Multi-Day Kayak Tours!
